Butch Femme Diaries 02- A Very Gay, Very Rainy Weekend in Acadia
Anna and I stayed in a tipi tucked into the woods near Acadia and spent the weekend driving around the park, climbing over rocks by the ocean, taking photos, getting absolutely soaked in the rain, eating good food (mostly) made over the campfire, and giggling a lot.
The weather was grey the entire trip after our first night, but somehow that made everything feel even more beautiful. The fog hanging over the mountains, the wet roads and leaves, the dark ocean, dramatic af skies, and all the muted colors made Acadia feel especially cinematic. It Was also I way I had never experienced Acadia before, despite being there more times than I can count over my adolescence and early adulthood.
This is episode two of Butch Femme Diaries, my ongoing film diary of the life Anna and I are building together. This one is just about a really happy weekend with my favorite person in one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been, a place that I am going to miss dearly when we move in a couple of months.
